BERIFFA Keystone is a Windows program. There is no version for macOS or Linux.
No administrator rights
The program installs for your own Windows user only. It brings its own .NET runtime.
Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime
Windows 11 and up-to-date Windows 10 already have it. If it is missing, setup installs it, which needs internet access during setup; on PCs without internet, your IT installs it first.
A connection to your company's server
A BERIFFA Service Token from your administrator, and HTTPS access from the PC to your Keystone server and, for updates, to BERIFFA's update service.
Your user and an authenticator app
Your administrator creates your user. For a built-in account you also need an authenticator app on your phone, for example Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator.
Install

Download the installer
Click Download and save BERIFFA-Keystone-Setup.exe.

Run it
Open the downloaded file. Installation takes a few seconds and needs no administrator rights.

If Windows protects your PC
The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway. Only do this for the installer you downloaded from this page.

Start BERIFFA Keystone
Start it from the Start menu or the desktop. The first window is the system list.
After installing: connect to your server

Click Add Connection on the system list.

Paste the BERIFFA Service Token from your administrator (a long text that starts with BST1.). Line breaks from an e-mail do not matter.

Click Check Connection. The program checks the token and the server, and adds your system to the list, marked Verified.

Select the system and click Log On. At your first logon you choose your own password and set up your authenticator app.
Updates are automatic
You install BERIFFA Keystone once. After that it looks for a new version when it starts and every four hours, and offers Update now or Later. It installs only updates signed by BERIFFA.
