Production checklist
The things worth confirming before you route production traffic.
Run through this list before a service carries production traffic. It takes a few minutes and prevents the most common outages.
Account
- Two-factor authentication enabled for every team member.
- At least two owners so you're never locked out.
- Billing contact and payment method confirmed.
Network
- RPKI ROAs published for every prefix you originate.
- IRR objects (route/route6) registered and current.
- BGP sessions configured with sane max-prefix limits.
Delivery
- DNS records have sensible TTLs and a tested failover plan.
- CDN cache rules reviewed; purge tested.
- Monitoring and alerting wired to an on-call path.
